Studio
GudaGuda Studio is a two-person independent studio in Switzerland, founded in 2022 by friends Dominik and Oliver. Two people with day jobs and a stubborn belief that small, honest games are worth making properly. Before games, we shipped Memoru, a flashcard app, as proof we could finish something. It was followed by a space game in Godot we don't really talk about and a run of small PICO-8 experiments. Yokai Mart is the first project we're taking all the way to a public release.
Yokai Mart
Yokai Mart is a cozy shop management game about running a small konbini in a Tokyo suburb. Aoi finishes college with no job and no plan, and then a letter arrives: her grandmother wants her to take over the family store. It sounds like an ordinary job in an ordinary place. By day she orders stock, fills shelves, and gets to know the regulars, each with a small story they want to share and a wish worth paying attention to. By night the store grows quiet, and some nights not everyone who walks in is exactly human. Five yokai come through the door, each with things they love, things that put them off, and a particular way of being in the world; work out what makes them feel at home and you leave a little more good behind. Everything Aoi learns goes in her notebook, and after a while the offhand comments start to make sense. You never go outside. Everything you need to know about this place is carried in by someone else. The yokai are her grandmother's old friends. Aoi is just learning to become theirs. Coming to PC, Steam Deck, Linux and macOS in Q1 2027.
